In Brief

Our Strategy team taps our firm’s expertise to support clients in tackling key business issues, such as increasing value in order to prevent a takeover or improving performance of unprofitable business units. Other critical initiatives include preparing for market downturns or making a PMI a success for all stakeholders.

In context with strategy our Operation Teams focus is on profitable growth strategies for our clients. Our philosophy is to generate profitable growth and simultaneously cut costs through competitive excellence. We focus on strategies that are both innovative and workable, and our solutions are based on clear-cut market analyses, client segmentation and clearly quantified potential.

When an organization doesn’t meet its stakeholders’ needs and expectations, the cause may not be a misguided strategy or vision. Instead, underperformance is often the result of a misalignment of the company’s strategy and its many complex, interacting organizational parts. To address such situations, IMG designs new operating models, based on market economics and customized to deliver against shareholder expectations, customer needs, and the relationships among the constituencies in the organization’s extended enterprise.

With the spread of value-based management, corporate finance has also been gaining importance. Corporate Finance at IMG was formed in response to this trend, based on experience from numerous restructuring projects. The services offered by IMG’s consultants are targeted mainly to client groups. We therefore offer financial restructuring and investor support for restructuring clients, private equity, distressed debt and other investors.
Our financial restructuring covers recapitalization, divestment programs, covenants management and balance-sheet optimization. Within investors support, we focus on due diligence, valuation, 100-day programs, performance improvement and exit strategies.
Through our work on inter-related topic areas, we help companies develop go-to-market strategies to achieve competitive advantage.
Today’s customers may not always be right, but they certainly know what they want. Both consumers and commercial customers have virtually instant access to product and pricing information, they demand products and services customized to their individual needs, and they expect high levels of service. That makes capturing and retaining their business — and doing so profitably — more challenging than ever.
To succeed, marketing and sales organizations must combine forces and use all the talents, tools, technologies, and channels at their disposal to win in today’s increasingly competitive marketplace.

In our view, all elements of digital transformation must aim to create value. Since we have an in-depth understanding of value drivers in all industries, we are well equipped to align the use of Information Technology to the needs of individual companies.
We believe in the strategic value of IT.
Within the IMG Knowledge Institute, we cover all areas of strategic IT consulting in order to address the complete CIO/CDO agenda.
